  1. Your solution is simple… Sell only the printed copies of your work… Do NOT sell your originals… People will buy when it is an inexpensive print… The general public can not afford original art… If your work looks good, you will make money on Amazon selling the prints…

  2. Ive actually had several items from Amazon that have included business cards. Maybe it was against rules, idk, but its happened allot in my own experience.

  3. I was on tyre verge of exploring the Amazon process for selling art. If Amazon's process is merely quick sale, dropship & price control them its total not worth it. Thanks for sharing this time saving insight vid.

  4. It sounds like Amazon Handmade is more for people who are just looking to make some extra money, not people who are trying to grow a business. That being said, unless I'm a sales associate for a company and they're paying me to sell their products for them, the idea of them not letting me communicate with the people who buy from me off their platform doesn't sit right with me.

  5. Thanks for making this video, you made a lot of good points. I guess it would be good for people who want to just sell and make money. But if you want your own business, it doesn't sound like a good option

  6. Oh my God I'm so glad you did this video I was so confused with Amazon I didn't know what to do but I really don't like my art with Amazon thank you for the info I really helps me to decide thanks a lot

  7. I was just looking into Amazon Homemade and it said you make a webpage that’s all about you and your stuff and suggested adding photos of yourself and your workspace so the customer would get to know you and that you could list all your items. It sounded like they were supporting and helping you to have your own storefront so to speak. I don’t know about what the fees were. Maybe they changed it since this video was made or maybe Amazon is trying to trick people??? Idk I am just looking into this to get started.

  8. Clicked on this video from the Amazon website….lol. Amazon is giving you free advertising without realizing it. I am just starting to think about getting into this whole selling thing and I really appreciate that you didn’t just talk about Amazon but you also gave me information on Etsy and Ebay which was very helpful. Now I’m going to read the comments to see what else I can learn. Thank you for posting this video. The painting behind you is beautiful. Idk why Amazon would want you to lower your prices. The higher your prices the more money they make. Dummies. Again thank you for the information. It was very helpful.

  9. I had a HUGE issue just on the monthly fees and pulled the plug. The quick shipping would be a nightmare as well since sales can be very lumpy in art.

  10. I want to sell my art works
according to u is ebay a good platform?
can help me nd guide me?
actually m an highschooler i know very less about seling online.

  11. Update: Amazon is not allowing Merch and Storefront. This allows a brand image…just like Etsy. Amazon is trying to get themselves in more spaces. As for the pricing issue, Amazon makes a recommendation that you are selling too high. i didn't change my price when I got the message.

  12. We've sold a couple pieces on amazon handmade, the most frustrating thing so far has been they give you no idea of traffic to your listings. You have no way to see what you're doing wrong.

  13. Thank you for pointing out these issues.
For non native speakers you speak fast. My brain was loaded 101% with translation on the fly ))

  14. Uhm, what Amazon is doing is bordering illegal. Especially the forcing people to lower the prices, big companies are generally banned to enforce prices. I'm not able to explain it, but they're not completion compliant.

  15. Nice info, thanks Lisa! I also read a lot of negative comments about Amazon regarding artists in the Handmade section. My work isn't "fast and cheap". Off topic, I took a peek at your Storenvy site – are you listing on another site for your originals or staying with your own website?

  16. Thank you! I was wondering about Amazon Handmade. It seemed like a bad idea when I heard about it. I loved your selling on Etsy and eBay video it was really educational! I watched it at 2am this morning, and then saw this one.

  17. Out of curiosity, do you just use youtube as a platform for your artwork or do you also work under contract for youtube?I've heard horror stories about working for them but I don't think i have ever heard you complain like other people have so I was just wandering lol.

  18. I wouldn't sell on Amazon either. They are only interested in their reputation & selling with them is to promote them, not you.

  19. Lol, At least I'm not the only one who wraps their painting or artwork in so much packaging. Just to make sure the painting gets safe to the customer. This because at the postal around here, they do not handle packages with care. Even know it is stated on the box.
