Home / Hand made Thumb harp, Construction Process
Thanks to my terrific teacher, Stephen McLean (https://www.youtube.com/user/McStevus) and the tools at my school I was able to create my very own instrument!
Don't sound good enough for a demo?
Try using the steel cores from old windshield wipers next time, they sound good and are easy to reshape with pliers, so you can have rounded contact points for more comfortable plucking
Dude, you didn't let us hear it – I was wondering what the brass sounded like.
My dad made me one in the late 1960's but it disappeared. His was not nearly as nicely made as this one but to me it was priceless. Thank you for posting.
We didnt even get to hear it?!
Wow well done! 😀 it looks really nice and i bet it sounds even better haha 😛
