I made this clip for the yamahaenduro.com community in response to a question about the sound of the pipe. Sorry for my poor camera handling!
This pipe was too peaky for the stock DT engine and carb. It would have required some serious tuning to make it work optimally. Perhaps a MX250 or YZ250 top end on the DT bottom end.
In regard to the tach reading upwards of 5-6 thousand RPM while I am blipping the throttle; it’s really something more like 3, 4 maybe. My tach jumps around ridiculously unless I am pushing it tight against the mounting cup. I haven’t sorted that out.
