"Joyful Heart" by Black Cat Blues-Premium Hand Made Art Soap

Just an easy and quick little soap to create. The hearts were made from left overs from the Hibiscus soap.

Thank you for the giving of your time to watch this video. The work comes from my heart. I do not sell my work or receive any money for the work. It is a labor of love that brings joy to my heart. Blessings to you all. Namaste.

Fragrance: Black Raspberry Vanilla. Because it is a very well behaved fragrance.

"Gift Mint" by Black Cat Blues-Premium Hand Made Art Soap

Techniques: Cold Process Clay, CP soap clay design elements / embeds, Cosmic Wave variation pours, Rippling Waters surface design, Holiday theme.

I keep saying that i must make an easy piece. So far i have not been able to do that.

The surface design is called rippling waters and is used by polymer clay artists. The technique is commonly done using 3 different sized round extruded dyes. My extruder only has two so that is what i used. CP soap clay is similar to and different from polymer clay. For example CP soap clay is not elastic like polymer clay. Therrefore polymer clay techniques must be adapted for CP soap clay. One must work within the limitation of the soap.

Fragrance: Essential oils of Peppermint, Spearmint, Tea Tree, and Eucaliptus.

Thank you to all the subscribers and viewers of this channel. Your support and kindness is appreciated. May you enjoy the beauty and happiness of your Holidays. Blessings.

"Hibiscus" by Black Cat Blues-Premium Hand Made Art Soap

It is summer in the northeast USA. Such a beautiful place to experience summer. That being the case, i just had to make a flower soap. Some polymer clay techniques can be used with soap with adaptations. This is my first piece of Art Soap that was made entirely with Soap Clay. The soap clay was also scented, which normally i do not do with soap clay. I just had the need to create some very colorful soap.

Thank you for watching my video. The video is just about my process. It is not a tutorial. It takes light years longer to create a video and edit the video than it does to make soap.

"Big Cookie" by Black Cat Blues-Premium Hand Made Art Soap

We all need a big cookie every now and then. The idea for this piece came from a big cookie sold at a local health food store. I was also looking for an easy project after the last few challenging pieces i created. Yep, this was easy!!! This piece also provided an opportunity to use vanilla stabilizer. Yep, it worked. FYI, the video camera is challenged by certain colors and was unable to capture a consistant color of the soap clay dough used for the big cookie. Such is life and video production.

Fragrance oils: deep rich chocolate, chocolate, blueberry. Blueberry was used to sweeten up the fragrance of the chocolates. You cannot smell the blueberry. It just smells sweeter.

Thank you so very much to the subscribers and viewers of this channel. You kindness is appreciated. I just make videos for fun. At times they are as challenging as the piece being created. Please feel free to use and share the techniques used in my videos. By sharing we all learn and grown together. Blessings. Namaste.

"Water & Fire" by Black Cat Blues-Premium Hand Made Art Soap

Techniques: Fluid Soap Painting, Medallion Soap Skins.

Lipid Temperatures: 90-95.
Lye Solution Temperature: 52-57.
Fragrance: Love Spell.

Yet another piece in the Abstract Soap Art Series.

It is all about the flow!!! The movement. The soap and i are in a dance. We are both alive and moving. We act and react to each other. I mostly follow the lead of the fluid soap. To me there is nothing more fun and satisfying than the fluid soap dance.

My goal was to create “Cells” as they are called in Fluid Acrylic Painting. This was achieved. In future pieces i will work on creating more cells in the piece.

The Soap Skins were created in the manor in which Fluid Acrykic Painters create skins. In this case the soap was poured in a thin layed onto a non-pourus material (plastic wrap) which allows for ithe soap’s release when hardened.

Again Many Thanks to the subscribers and viewers of this channel. You inspire and motivate me to push soap as far as possible.

"Home Land" by Black Cat Blues-Premium Hand Made Art Soap

Home Land is the 4th and final piece created for the museum series. Each work of Art Soap in the series was inspired by a memorable museum exhibit that i was fortunate to have seen.
In the 1970’s i traveled the western USA for a month. The geology / landscape of the west is spectacular and breath taking. Home Land was inspired by a memorable visit to a Native American Museum on the trip. I cannot remember the name of the museum. I cannot remember in what state or city it was in. What i can remember were all the beautiful works of art created by Native American Artists. Beautiful things!!! Our tour guide / educator thru the entire museum was a young Native American man with long thick braided hair. He showed us the differences of the art created by western and eastern Native Americans. What a wonderful museum and what a wonderful young man. Our tour guide also spoke about Native Artists purposely leaving a flaw in the work as a means to honor The Great Spirit. It is a means of showing humility, knowing ones place in the scheme of life. The Great Spirit is perfection.

Fragrance: Bergamot & Tobacco fragrance oil.

Thank you to all the viewers of this video and to all the subscribers of this channel. Your support and interest is appreciated. I just video my process of creating Art Soap. My intention is to inspire and to get those interested to think out of the box about soap. Soap can be art.
Blessings to you all. May we all walk in beauty.
